Is a contact lens prescription different than an eyeglass prescription?
Yes, contact lenses are made to fit your eye, and as such specifies the diameter of the lens, the power of the lens, the air permeability and other factors not applicable to eyeglasses.

Can I wear my daily-wear contact lenses overnight?
If this happens every once in awhile, this is OK, but you should always remove daily-wear contacts every night before sleeping. Not only is this necessary to clean and disinfect your contact lenses, but it is even more important to your eye health that your eyes receive oxygen.

Can I wear my 2-week disposable contact lenses more than 2 weeks?
In order to maintain the best eye health, you should replace such contact lenses every two weeks, even though they may still feel fine.

What's the difference between contact lenses and RGP contact lenses?
RGP (rigid gas permeable) contact lenses are smaller and made from a harder plastic, which can make them less comfortable initially. RGP contacts are used to correct for astigmatism.

Can colored contacts be used for dark-colored eyes?
Yes, there are opaque contact lenses that can change say, your brown eyes to blue eyes for a realistic look. Many colored contact lens have tiny dots and lines to mimic the natural iris of the eye.

Do I need a prescription if I just want colored contact lenses?
Yes, you need to be properly fitted for the lenses, even if you don't need any vision correction, as contact lenses are considered medical devices.
